We’ve been listening to your feedback and rolling out updates to help you move inventory, attract more buyers, and close more deals efficiently. Here’s what’s new.

New Digital Deal Financing Feature: Direct Credit App

CarGurus Digital Deal now offers two financing options that integrate directly with your FMS platform (Dealertrack or RouteOne): Direct Credit App (NEW) and Hard Pull Financing.

With Direct Credit App, you receive high-quality leads while maintaining full control over the financing process. Shoppers complete a credit application that’s sent to your FMS where you can choose to submit to your lenders.

To activate, please go to your Dashboard Digital Deal configuration tab, click Financing, and select the Direct Credit app in the form.

If you’re already using Direct Credit App, please look out for a survey - we’d love your feedback to continuously improve!

Sell my Car Enhancements

Appointments

To help you secure more Sell My Car appointments, we now send automated reminders to leads 24 hours after lead submission, encouraging them to schedule with you.  Keep an eye out for these in your CRM - as we see Sell my Car leads that book appointments have an average close rate of 15%.*

Trade-in Lead Matches

Now, you can see if a Sell My Car lead is looking to purchase a vehicle already in your inventory or one that is similar. This insight, available in your Dashboard SMC Lead Summary, helps you quickly connect with the most motivated buyers.

Intake Tool Photo Upload

Based on your feedback, we are currently testing the ability to directly upload a photo to the Intake Tool.

We’re excited to bring this feature to all SMC dealers soon, as dealerships who use the Intake Tool have significantly higher consumer satisfaction than those who don’t.**

New Data Reports Dashboard

Check out the new Scheduled Reports page in your Dashboard that was re-designed to make it easier to set up your custom data reports. Please contact your Account Manager for help setting up the right actionable reports for your dealership.

Highlight Stock Number Selection

To make it easier to select specific vehicles to promote in your Highlight sponsored spots, soon you'll be able to select by Stock Number, in addition to VIN, on the Highlight page of your Dashboard.

New Car Listings on Used SRPs

Franchise dealers, big news! We recently completed our first test of new car listings appearing on used car search results pages. Now, we’re working to expand this functionality to more dealers as quickly as possible.

RPM Strategies

In March, you’ll have the flexibility to optimize your RPM campaigns on Facebook/Instagram and Google based on specific targeting strategies for both new and used inventory, including:

  • Vehicle Make & Model
  • Vehicle Price & Year
  • Age on site (most days)
  • Newest Inventory (Recently added or Latest Model Year)
  • Great Deal Rating only
  • Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Vehicles

These enhancements give you more control over what inventory you promote to your car shopping audience in order to  target the right buyer, with the right inventory, at the right time. Look out for this in your RPM Dashboard in the next few weeks.
