5 product updates you need to know about - Q2 2024

1. Acquire quality inventory from CarGurus shoppers with Sell My Car
We recently announced the launch of Sell My Car, our latest wholesale solution, which helps our dealer partners acquire quality inventory from the largest and most engaged automotive audience.
With Sell My Car, you can:
- Source quality vehicles directly from CarGurus consumers
- Convert more offers with leads that are automatically sent to only one dealer
- Bid efficiently by automating offers on the cars you want, at the prices you want to pay

2. Close more deals with the latest Digital Deal enhancements
- Appointment screen refresh: In addition to modernizing the overall look and feel, we’ve reduced the window of time that consumers can select appointments to two weeks. Since revamping the appointment screen, we’ve seen an increase in the total number of appointments set.

- Deposit hold time update: We’re reduced the time frame for deposit holds from 30 days to 15 to improve the overall customer experience.
- New shopper refund feature: You now have the ability to refund shoppers deposits after they’ve scheduled a payout or received payment. This removes any manual work and reduces the number of chargebacks from consumers. You’ll notice the CTAs and Statuses have changed on the ‘Manage Deposit’ tab slightly.
3. Control the inventory you want to promote with Highlight
Based on dealer feedback, you’re now able to select the specific makes and models you want to promote in Highlight sponsored spots on both used and new car SRPs. This updated feature allows you to turn specific vehicles faster and provide more control over which new models you want to promote.
You can adjust your inventory strategy in your Dealer Dashboard under ‘Settings’ → ‘Highlight settings’ or reach out to your CarGurus rep to help.
4. Test out our new Inventory Acquisition Recommendations
The Inventory Acquisition Recommendations (IAR) provides vehicles (by make, model, trim, years, and CPO) that fit within your turn time goals. The list is based on your historical local market demand (e.g. views on CarGurus VDPs), inventory mix, and days on CarGurus.
We’ve recently expanded access to our newest data-driven report to 500 dealers and we’re looking for more dealers to test these reports and provide feedback on how to make them even better. If you’re interested in participating, sign up for the waitlist here.

Updated lead categorizations in your Dashboard: The connection summary chart will soon break out ‘Standard Email Leads’ and ‘Digital Deal Leads’ to give you a better understanding of your CarGurus performance. If you don’t use Digital Deal, you’ll just see ‘Standard Email Leads’. For any questions, reach out to your account rep.
Updated CarGurus site experience: Over the course of the year, we’re overhauling the look and feel of our desktop and mobile sites to improve the user experience and ultimately provide you with even more high-quality leads.
